Double knitting basics: How and why does this technique work? We’ll analyze some finished fabric to see just where the knits and purls fall and how the fabric actually comes together. Then we’ll make our own double knit fabric. It will have a solid color on one side and single row stripes on the reverse. It’s a simple 6-row repeat worked back and forth but on circular needles. Bruce will explain why and show you how to make this happen.

2 colors, a light and a dark, of Harrisville Designs Highland or Rauma Vandre Yarn available from The Woolly Thistle. Or something with great stitch definition Avoid self striping or multi colors.
Needles suggested by the yarn manufacturer plus needles 1 and 2 sizes larger and smaller
