Learn how to knit a sweater seamlessly from the top down! Over the past year, this construction method has become incredibly popular—and it’s easy to see why. Top-down sweaters look modern, fit beautifully, and are surprisingly straightforward to knit once you understand the logic behind them.
In this class, you’ll learn exactly how to build a seamless sweater from the neckline down, shaping a graceful drop-back shoulder and perfectly fitted set-in sleeves—all without a single seam. We’ll work with a mix of flat and circular knitting: only a small portion is done flat, and the rest is worked comfortably in the round, everyone’s favorite part!
The class lasts three hours, during which we’ll make a small “mini-sweater” together so you can clearly see every step of the construction in real time. I’ll guide you through how to read the structure, plan the increases, and maintain balance and fit as the sweater grows.
No previous sweater-knitting experience is required—this class is designed to make the process clear and approachable from the very beginning. And best of all, there’s no need for short rows or sewing. You’ll finish class ready to knit your own top-down sweater with confidence, knowing exactly how every part connects and why it works.
