What is my sweater made of, and why should I care? This lecture-based class will cover the information needed to make empowered decisions about the yarns you choose, so you can be delighted with the finished objects after they've been worn and washed.
How is yarn made and structured, and how does that relate to what's on the label when shopping for your next project? How can I avoid all this pilling? We'll discuss each fiber type, sizing conventions, pattern substitution and how to care for your fabrics and enjoy them for years to come.
A list of references and sources for additional information will be provided.
