Does the term "granny square" make you twitch as thoughts of horrible acrylic yarns race through your brain and make you itch? You are not the only one. For a long time that was my view too however after a long debate at a guild meeting, I decided to give them a try in modern yarn. I discovered they are in fact a portable, relaxing, stashbusting bit of craftiness I can make into all sorts of fun things. Let me show you how. We'll start with the basic square, make a few together, then practice seaming them into mitts before we move into another piece of wearable fiber art, a project bag.
