Service Description

You know that hook in the bottom of your bag you bought for a provisional cast on you never did or picking up stitches which never quite look right? Let's give that one and others which may be lurking long forgotten in a drawer a chance to redeem themselves and become a useful part of your fiber experience. You already have the basics of reading a yarn label, counting stitches, and gauge, we will spend a few evenings together learning how to apply your existing knowledge to an entirely new area, crochet. We'll start out working from what we know and literally layer onto it one row at a time as we begin learning the single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch and chain stitch. By the end of the first class, you'll be starting your first project, a set of coasters so bring to class your homework and all the materials. At the end of the second class, you will be ready to tackle your first piece of wearable fiber art, a pair of mitts so be sure that second skein is washable wool.
