This 6-session class is an introduction to knitting in the round on both circular and double pointed needles. Together we will knit a cowl, a pair of fingerless mitts, and a hat, going over best practices for every step of these projects. We’ll also dive into how we shape fabric using increases and decreases, fix mistakes, and read our knitting, creating value for newer knitters as well as more experienced knitters looking to refresh and level up their knitting skills.

Circular Needles: US 7 - 16" cable AND 24" cable, US 8 - 16" cable
Double Pointed Needles (set of 4 or 5, either is fine): US 6, US 7, and US 8
Yarn and other materials –
Cowl: 210 yards worsted weight yarn; tapestry needle; stitch marker
Mitts: 110 (120, 130, 140) yards worsted weight yarn; tapestry needle; 3 stitch markers 1 of them a locking stitch marker; stitch holder or scrap yarn
Hat: SIZES: XS (S, M, L, XL) to fit head sizes about 16 (18, 20, 22, 24) inches: 98 (108, 120, 135, 150) yards worsted weight yarn; tapestry needle; 6 stitch markers one of them different
