Brette Rothschild

Brette Rothschild, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with more than 25 years of experience helping people move with greater comfort, confidence, and resilience. As an avid knitter and fiber enthusiast, she founded Knit for Life to bridge the gap between crafting and wellness, helping makers enjoy the hobbies they love without pain or fear.

Through her YouTube channel, educational workshops, and the Knit for Life community, Brette teaches knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, and other fiber artists how to improve ergonomics, reduce strain, build strength, and develop sustainable crafting habits. Her teaching combines evidence-based physical therapy with practical strategies that can be applied immediately—whether you're knitting for an hour or spending an entire weekend at a retreat.

Known for her engaging, down-to-earth teaching style, Brette believes that movement is an essential part of every maker's toolkit. Her mission is simple: to help every crafter continue creating comfortably for years to come.

When she's not working as a physical therapist or creating educational content, you'll usually find her with knitting needles in hand, exploring yarn shops, attending fiber festivals, or dreaming up her next cast-on.

Comfort in Every Stitch.
